A streak of democracy

The Aam Aadmi Party’s performance in the capital during Vidhan Sabha proved that people required an alternative and they got it. The party that just a year ago hatched  from disturbed political scenario has surprised everyone.

The defeat of Congress in its province and BJP’s condition of near to majority showcased the changed attitude of people towards both the ancient political giants. The new party has put a question mark on the ideologies and promises of both the Congress and the BJP.

The result of the election is a streak of democracy. The verdict of people proved that politics is not all about money and muscle power. If people want they can be agents to nip the corruption in the bud and channels for the implementation of all rules and regulations. The AAP has also questioned the basic model of the hand and the lotus.

There were 70 seats, BJP got 31, AAP managed 28, Congress sadly earned just eight and others three. It is very sorry state for the Congress and it was seen when Sonia Gandhi and his yuva son Rahul Gandhi admitted it in front of media.

It is indisputable fact that AAP made optimum usage of Social media, door to door campaign and obviously Gandhian cap left a mark. Whilst Congress, putting its ideology at back stage, failed to woo the voters as it resorted to elitist way of campaigning. In case of BJP one can say that it was NaMo’s effect!!!

Old minds in the veteran parties not only required introspecting, the need of the hour is to deliver constructive results and fulfillment of, if not all but poll promises.
