Poor Queen

Queen has cinematically debunked all women empowerment theories. It says no need of laws to protect women from ills of society and parents need not to provide moral lessons to girls. Rather losing virginity and boozing are steps to empowerment. Success of the movie is a proof of peoples stamp on it. I think movie makers, more often, forget that their prospects are still immature Indians, whose society is still bound by certain societal norms. On the contrary, Western societies prove the threshold idea of Queen. Their men and women divorce anytime at the drop of a hat and marry anybody anytime. They are emotionally detached people. One can always read about Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine. I am not against that woman has no right to reject man. She should do it if she is given a treatment of a commodity. Indian media is criticised for blindly imbibing the western ideology failing to accept that Indians are media illiterate. Most of us are not cognitively mature to interpret media messages. Movie might have suffocated those girls who still believe in their parenting and adhere to societal norms and certificate to those for whom losing virginity in high schools is fun and boozing is cool!!!
